Abstract

Perkembangan anak secara motorik dan kognitif mengharuskan orang tuan tunutk menjamin keamanan anak dari cedera sekaligus memberikan stimulus kepada anak. Oleh karenanya furnitur anak diharuskan menjamin keamanan anak pada saat beraktifitas sekaligus sebagai sarana untuk menunjang pendidikan anak. Dewasa ini, telah dikembangkan furniture anak yang bertujuan untuk memfasilitasi area bermain anak yang aman seperti playpen (boks bayi ukuran besar). Namun dalam penggunaannya, boks bayi yang ada dipasaran masih memiliki banyak kekurangan seperti penggunaannya yang terlalu singkat sehingga banyak boks bayi yang akhirnya tidak digunakan. Oleh karenanya butuh adanya fungsi tambahan yang dihadirkan agar boks bayi yang ada di pasaran dapat menarik minat orang tua dan di gunaan secara optimal oleh orang tua. Untuk mendapatkan solusi, penggalian data dilakukan dengan interview dan aktivitas shadowing kepada ibu. Dari data-data tersebut, dianalisa untuk mendapatkan pola kebiasaan ibu dan anak yang kemudian dikomparasikan dengan regulasi yang ada. Dikelompokkan antara kebutuhan, aktivitas dan barang-barang tang terkait dengannya, sehingga didapatkan DRO (design Requirement and Objective).

Motor and cognitive development of children requires parents to ensure the safety of
children from injury while providing stimulus to children. because of that children's furniture
is needed to ensure the safety of children during activities and as a means to support children's
education. Children's furniture has been developed to facilitate a safe children's play area such
as a playpen. However, the baby cribs on the market still have many shortcomings, such as
their usage time being too short, some of them are not used. Because of that, the crib is
considered not too important for the child. Additional functions are needed so that the baby
cribs on the market can attract parents' interest and be used optimally by parents. To get a
further solution, data mining was carried out by interviewing and shadowing the mother. From
these data, it is analyzed to get the habit patterns of mothers and children, then they are
compared with existing regulations. Grouped between needs, activities, and related items, to
acquire DRO (design requirements and objectives).
