Abstract
Penggunaan sosial media untuk mempengaruhi minat membeli masyarakat sudah dilakukan pada industri – industri yang menjual barang maupun jasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah ada hubungan antara minat membeli masyarakat dengan penggunaan sosial media khususnya untuk industri asuransi jiwa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menyebarkan survei mengenai dampak penggunaan sosial media kepada minat membeli calon pelanggan pada produk asuransi jiwa kepada 100 responden yang menggunakan sosial media Instagram di Jawa Timur. Metode sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling dan akan dianalisa menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modelling Partial Least Square. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah adanya hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara aktifitas media sosial dengan minat beli calon pelanggan, selain itu hubungan positif dan signifikan juga terjadi antara aktifitas media sosial dengan literasi keuangan dan kepercayaan pelanggan serta literasi keuangan dan kepercayaan pelanggan pada minat beli calon pelanggan.

The use of social media to influence the purchasing intention of the public has been employed in various industries.. This research aims to examine whether there is a relationship between public purchasing interests and the use of social media in the insurance industry. The study involves distributing surveys on the impact of social media usage on the purchasing interests of potential life insurance customers to 100 respondents using Instagram in East Java. This research is conduct with purposive sampling methods and survey results are analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares method to identify relationships between the model's variables. The findings reveal a positive and significant correlation between social media activities and potential customer purchasing interests, as well as positive and significant relationships with financial literacy and trust, demonstrating their impact on customer purchasing intention.
