Abstract

Disabilitas intelektual merupakan kondisi individu dengan tingkat intelektual di bawah rata-rata yang mengakibatkan siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam proses belajar. Sebagai upaya untuk memenuhi hak pendidikan, pemerintah menyusun kebijakan bahwa hak tersebut diwujudkan dalam penyelenggaraan Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB). Akan tetapi, belum menjamin kelancaran proses belajar karena sulit fokus terhadap instruksi jangka panjang serta mudah terdistraksi oleh gangguan visual. Untuk itu, diperlukan teknologi bantu dengan intervensi untuk menarik perhatian siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Pada penelitian sebelumnya, sistem pembelajaran interaktif berbasis robot untuk penyandang disabilitas intelektual telah dikembangkan. Sistem tersebut mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang diberikan. Namun, sistem robot belum memiliki fitur interaksi dua arah antara robot dan siswa selama materi. Pada penelitian ini, sistem pembelajaran interaktif dikembangkan dengan menambahkan fitur interaksi dua arah. Pengembangan yang dilakukan yaitu dengan cara meningkatkan materi pembelajaran berupa ejaan kata kerja serta meningkatkan interaksi siswa selama pembelajaran dengan robot melalui kartu jawaban. Selama proses pembelajaran menggunakan robot, siswa menunjukkan ketertarikan terhadap kemampuan gerak robot dan materi audiovisual yang ditampilkan melalui robot tersebut. Subjek memperhatikan robot dengan seksama. Hasil pembelajaran menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam rata-rata tingkat kebenaran penyusunan huruf oleh subjek, dari 25,55% saat pembelajaran konvensional menjadi 63,86% dengan pembelajaran menggunakan robot. Standar deviasi pembelajaran dengan robot sebesar 26,54 dan konvensional sebesar 18,47. Nilai standar deviasi yang lebih kecil menunjukkan konsistensi yang lebih tinggi. Ketidakonsistenan hasil dapat disebabkan oleh faktor seperti kinerja memori subjek dan kondisi lingkungan pembelajaran. Hasil pembelajaran dengan robot efektif untuk subjek 1 dan 3, serta cukup efektif untuk subjek 2. Rencana pengembangan penelitian berikutnya yaitu pengumpulan dan pengolahan data secara real-time dengan IoT serta peningkatan level materi seperti berhitung dan kemampuan sosial penggunaan uang.

Intellectual disabilities are conditions of individuals with below-average intellectual levels that result in students experiencing difficulties in the learning process. To fulfill the right to education, the government has developed a policy that realizes this right through the implementation of special schools. However, it does not guarantee a smooth learning process because it is difficult to focus on long-term instructions and is easily distracted by visual distractions. For this reason, assistive technology is needed with interventions to attract students attention during the learning process. In previous research, a robot-based interactive learning system for people with intellectual disabilities has been developed. The system can improve students understanding of the material provided. However, the robot system does not yet have a two-way interaction feature between the robot and students during the material. In this research, the interactive learning system is developed by adding two-way interaction features. The development is done by increasing the learning material in verb spelling and increasing student interaction during learning with the robot through answer cards. During the learning process using the robot, students showed interest in the robots motion capabilities and the audiovisual material displayed through the robot. Subjects paid close attention to the robot. The learning results showed a significant increase in the subjects average correctness rate of typesetting, from 25.55% during conventional learning to 63.86% with robot learning. The standard deviation of robot learning was 26.54 and conventional learning was 18.47. Smaller standard deviation values indicate higher consistency. The inconsistency of the results may be caused by factors such as the subjects memory performance and learning environment conditions. Learning with robots is effective for subjects 1 and 3, and moderately effective for subject 2. The development plan for the next research is real-time data collection and processing with IoT and increasing the level of materials such as counting and social skills of using money.
