Abstract
Laporan magang ini menyajikan pengalaman penulis selama melaksanakan magang di PT Metro Mesin Mendunia, dengan fokus utama pada perancangan dan pembuatan mesin Milk Dehydrator berkapasitas 50 liter per proses. Latar belakang dari pengembangan mesin ini adalah kebutuhan industri kecil dan menengah (IKM) dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas produksi susu bubuk yang semakin meningkat seiring dengan berkembangnya industri pangan. Dalam proses manufaktur mesin Milk Dehydrator, penulis terlibat dalam berbagai tahap penting, termasuk perancangan gambar teknik, perhitungan kebutuhan bahan baku, proses pemotongan dan pembentukan material, pengelasan, serta perakitan akhir mesin. Selain itu, pengujian dan evaluasi kualitas juga dilakukan untuk memastikan mesin berfungsi optimal. Hasil dari magang ini memberikan beberapa saran penting, antara lain perlunya peningkatan presisi dalam tahap pengelasan dan penyambungan komponen untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi, serta rekomendasi untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam desain ergonomis dan kontrol otomatis mesin. Saran-saran ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan berharga bagi PT Metro Mesin Mendunia dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas dan kinerja produk yang dihasilkan.

This internship report presents the author's experience at PT Metro Mesin Mendunia, with the main focus on designing and manufacturing a Milk Dehydrator machine with a capacity of 50 liters per process. The background of the development of this machine is the need for small and medium industries (IKM) to improve the efficiency and quality of milk powder production, which is increasing along with the development of the food industry. In the manufacturing process of the Milk Dehydrator machine, the author was involved in various essential stages, including designing engineering drawings, calculating raw material requirements, cutting and forming material processes, welding, and final assembly. In addition, testing and quality evaluation were also carried out to ensure that the machine functioned optimally. The results of this internship provide several important suggestions, including the need for increased precision in the welding and component connection stages to increase production efficiency, as well as recommendations for further development in ergonomic design and automatic control of the machine. These suggestions are expected to be valuable input for PT Metro Mesin Mendunia to improve the quality and performance of the products produced.
