Abstract

The development of technology and information is very fast, especially developments on the internet. With the development of the internet, everything has become very easy. One sector that utilizes internet technology in its business is the banking sector. Bank BCA realizes the importance of internet technology which can make it easier for customers to access their products. In order to make it easier for customers to use existing services, Bank BCA has developed an application called BCA Mobile. However, there are complaints from users when using BCA Mobile. So the purpose of this research is to evaluate the User Experience (UX) of the use of BCA Mobile and find out its development potential from the improvements provided. Thus, this research was conducted using two different methods, namely Partial Least Square (PLS) and Usability Testing. The first stage in this research is to apply the Partial Least Square (PLS) method to analyze the relationship between the metrics variables in Nielsen's usability model and the usability system of the BCA Mobile application. In this method, the population studied are all BCA customers who use the BCA Mobile application. The number of samples taken for this method was 114 people with an instrument in the form of a Likert scale uestionnaire, which was assessed on the outer and inner models. For the assessment of the outer model, validity and reliability tests are carried out where all indicators in the study have a higher correlation with their respective constructs so that for all indicators so that the indicators are free from ambiguity and for the inner model there are three metrics that have a significant positive effect, namely errors, efficiency, and satisfaction. Then the metrics that have a significant effect on the usability of the system will be used to measure the performance of the participants in the next method, namely usability testing. Based on the results of the analysis of the Partial Least Square (PLS) method, usability testing is then carried out where the researcher will provide 4 main feature task scenarios based on the questionnaire that has been held. The participants in this method were 20 people, 10 people aged 17-25 years and 10 people aged 26-35 years consisting of users and non-users. What is measured in this method is performance metrics in the form of Task success, Task on Time, Errors, Efficiency, Questionnaire System Usability Scale (SUS), and Retrospective Think Aloud (RTA). The results showed that the performance of the participants in using the replication prototype of the BCA Mobile application was not good, especially in the transfer and bill payment features. For recommendations for new UI improvements, usability testing was carried out with good participant performance results, as seen from the significant performance improvement of each tested task. There are several metrics that have increased such as efficiency and task success and there are metrics that have decreased significantly, namely for errors and task on time metrics. And there is the performance of tasks that decrease like task 2 for metrics errors and efficiency which developers will evaluate.
