Abstract

==============================================================================================
Peer-to-peer lending sector is currently starting to experience quite rapid growth in Indonesia. Currently, there are 161 lending companies where each platform provides different quality services for borrowers. This growth is also supported by the government because it can help commercial banks meet its financing needs, especially MSME capital in Indonesia. Large number of peer-to-peer lending platform is still not able to fully cover funding needs. Only 41% of funding needs can be covered by financial institutions, both from commercial banks and peer-to-peer lending. To improve this, lending platform needs to form services that are in accordance with the current use behavior of users. An identification and empirical testing needs to be done to determine these factors. In this study, a peer-to-peer lending model was developed to determine factors that influence use behaviour, especially borrowers. Development is carried out on the UTAUT2 extended with trust. Model development will be carried out by implementing five stages of SEM, namely model specification, model identification, model estimation, model testing, and model modification. Data collection focuses on users who have MSMEs in East Java and have borrowed from peer-to-peer lending. In total, there were 122 respondents who filled out this research questionnaire. This model succesfully predicts 68% of variance in behavioural intention. Performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and price value are known to significantly influence behavioural intention. Trust is known to significantly predict the behavioural intention of peer-to-peer lending users. So, model that has been developed with trust successfully describes factors that influence the intention to user peer-to-peer lending. Result of this study will help peer-to-peer lending platforms to understand users use behaviour and become a platform reference in shaping their services to suit the current users behaviour. Considering the low level of funding needs coverage, the result of this research will be very useful for peer-to-peer lending platforms.
