Abstract
Mixer merupakan alat yang sering digunakan dalam pembuatan kue. Berbagai macam model serta harga mixer yang bervariasi ada di pasaran. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan di pasaran,mixer kapasitas 5 kg relatif mahal. 0leh karena itu di buatlah desain alternatif sebuah konsep mixer kapasitas 5 kg yang dilengkapi dengan system timer serta kemudahan dalam pengoperasian.Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dilapangan maka dirancang sebuah mesin mixer semi otomatis. Alat ini dilengakapi oleh 2 buah motor yang berfungsi sebagai pengaduk adonan kue dan penggerak naik turun. Selain daya motor yang dibutuhkan, dalam perancangan ini terdapat elemen- elemen mesin yang diperhitungkan diantaranya : poros, bantalan, rantai dan pasak. Setelah perancangan selesai kemudian dilakukan uji coba mesin sehingga dapat dianalisa dan ditarik kesimpulan Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh mangkuk mixer dengan diameter 42 cm dan tinggi 21 cm serta menggunakan daya motor 0.5 HP dengan putaran 1420 rpm sebagai penggerak adukan, daya motor yang kedua 1 HP putaran 1420 rpm sebagai pengerak kerangka naik turun. Bahan poros yang digunakan AISI 1010 Syp = 42000 psi sistem penggerak menggunakan Sprocket dengan Diameter 160 mm dengan jumlah gigi 42 dan Diameter 70 mm jumlah gigi 18 dan rantai menggunakan standort ANSI No.25 dengan picth 0.25 inch.

Mixer constitutes utensil frequently used in making cakes. A variety of models and the various mixer's prices are available in the market. Based on observation in the market, mixer capacity of 5kg/process are expensive. Therefore, an alternative design of the mixer concept with capacity 5kg equipped with a timer system and easy in operational. Based on observation, so can design of semi automatic mixer machine. This machine equipped with 2 motors. The first motor as dough activator of cake batter and the second motor as un up and down frame work activator. Not anly the motor- power needed, in this design any counting output about machine element, therefore : axis, bearing, chain and spy. After design finished, then do trial on mixer machine. So that can be analyze and finally can get the coclution ..From the counting output, founded dimension of mixer bowl is diameter 42 cm and high 21 cm. Using the motor-power at 0.5 HP with the spin 1420 rpm as a dough activator, the second motorpowerat 1 Hp with the spin 1420 rpm as an up-and-down framework activator. The used axis material is AISI 1010 syp = 42000 psi, and the activator system uses Sprocket with diameter at 160 mm, 41 tooths and diameter at 70 mm, 18 tooths and the chain uses a standart of ANSI number 25 with the pitch at 0.25 inches.
