Abstract

Pariwisata kuliner telah menjadi bagian integral dari industri pariwisata modern. Pengembangan pariwisata kuliner yang berkelanjutan memainkan peran penting dalam mempertahankan keberlanjutan ekonomi, budaya, dan lingkungan. Alun-Alun Trunojoyo Kabupaten Sampang merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata yang memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis upaya street food vendors dalam mengembangkan usaha kuliner dan persepsi wisatawan terhadap daya tarik kuliner pada wisata Alun-Alun Trunojoyo Kabupaten Sampang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa street food vendors di Alun-Alun Trunojoyo, Kabupaten Sampang, menerapkan berbagai strategi untuk mengembangkan usaha kuliner termasuk promosi online dan offline, adaptasi cepat terhadap perubahan tren kuliner, serta kolaborasi dengan sesama pelaku usaha. Strategi-strategi ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keberlanjutan usaha kuliner di Alun-Alun Trunojoyo, Kabupaten Sampang. Pelaku usaha kuliner juga menghadapi tantangan signifikan, seperti masalah perizinan yang kompleks, persaingan yang ketat, dan akses terbatas terhadap sumber daya dan infrastruktur. Di sisi lain, persepsi pengunjung menunjukkan bahwa keunikan kuliner lokal, kebersihan tempat makan, dan harga terjangkau sangat mempengaruhi daya tarik kuliner di Alun-Alun Trunojoyo. Keunikan kuliner tradisional seperti bebek Madura dan rujak Madura menjadi daya tarik bagi pengunjung, sementara suasana sejuk dan fasilitas yang tersedia juga memberikan pengalaman positif. Hasil ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang dinamika pasar kuliner lokal dan menyarankan kebijakan yang dapat meningkatkan kondisi sosial dan ekonomi bagi street food vendors di Alun-Alun Trunojoyo Kabupaten Sampang.

Culinary tourism has become an integral part of the modern tourism industry. Sustainable culinary tourism development plays a crucial role in maintaining economic, cultural, and environmental sustainability. Alun-Alun Trunojoyo, Sampang Regency, is one such tourist destination with potential for development. This study aims to analyze the efforts of street food vendors in developing their culinary businesses and tourists' perceptions of culinary attractions at Alun-Alun Trunojoyo, Sampang Regency. The research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings reveal that street food vendors in Alun-Alun Trunojoyo, Sampang Regency, employ various strategies such as online and offline promotions, rapid adaptation to culinary trends, and collaboration with fellow entrepreneurs. These strategies have proven effective in enhancing the sustainability of culinary businesses in the area. However, vendors face significant challenges including complex licensing issues, intense competition, and limited access to resources and infrastructure. On the other hand, tourists' perceptions indicate that the uniqueness of local cuisine, cleanliness of dining venues, and affordability significantly influence the culinary appeal at Alun-Alun Trunojoyo. Traditional culinary delights like Madura duck and Madura fruit salad attract visitors, while the serene ambiance and available facilities contribute to positive experiences. These findings provide deep insights into the dynamics of the local culinary market and suggest policies to improve social and economic conditions for street food vendors in Alun-Alun Trunojoyo, Sampang Regency.
