Abstract
Kegiatan magang ini dilakukan di PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. dengan fokus pada analisis kapasitas alir dan evaluasi potensi kegagalan komponen menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) pada unit drag bucket 451 DB 1. Unit ini merupakan salah satu sistem transportasi material yang berperan penting dalam proses produksi semen. Permasalahan yang muncul berupa penurunan kapasitas angkut aktual dan tingginya frekuensi kerusakan mekanis, yang berpotensi mengganggu kontinuitas operasi. Analisis kapasitas alir dilakukan berdasarkan parameter teknis seperti volume bucket, kecepatan rantai, dan faktor pengisian. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan kapasitas aktual lebih rendah dari nilai desain, akibat kondisi bucket yang aus serta ketidakseimbangan beban material. Selain itu, metode FMEA diterapkan untuk mengidentifikasi mode kegagalan potensial pada komponen seperti rantai, sprocket, dan pin bucket. Setiap mode kegagalan dianalisis berdasarkan tingkat keparahan (Severity), frekuensi kejadian (Occurrence), dan kemampuan deteksi (Detection) untuk memperoleh nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN). Hasil FMEA menunjukkan bahwa komponen rantai memiliki nilai RPN tertinggi, yang mengindikasikan perlunya tindakan preventif. Beberapa rekomendasi diberikan, di antaranya penggantian pelumasan, peningkatan inspeksi berkala, dan penyesuaian kecepatan operasi. Diharapkan melalui pendekatan ini, efisiensi transportasi material dapat ditingkatkan dan risiko downtime akibat kerusakan dapat diminimalkan.

This internship activity is carried out at PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. with a focus on flow capacity analysis and evaluation of potential component failures using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method on unit drag bucket 451 DB 1. This unit is one of the material transportation systems that plays an important role in the cement production process. The issues that emerged include a decrease in actual transport capacity and a high frequency of mechanical failures, which could disrupt operational continuity.Flow capacity analysis is conducted based on technical parameters such as bucket volume, chain speed, and filling factor. Measurement results show that actual capacity is lower than the design value, due to worn bucket conditions and imbalance in material load. Additionally, the FMEA method is applied to identify potential failure modes in components such as chains, sprockets, and bucket pins. Each failure mode is analyzed based on severity (Severity), frequency Occurrence frequency and detection capability to obtain the Risk Priority Number (RPN). The FMEA results show that the chain component has the highest RPN value, indicating the need for preventive action. Several recommendations are provided, including lubrication replacement, enhanced routine inspections, and adjustments to operating speed. It is hoped that through this approach, material transportation efficiency can be improved and the risk of downtime due to damage can be minimized.
