Abstract
Pertumbuhan kendaraan listrik di Indonesia semakin pesat sebagai bagian dari strategi nasional untuk mengurangi emisi karbon dan ketergantungan terhadap bahan bakar fosil. Berdasarkan data dari Kementerian Perhubungan dan Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral, jumlah kendaraan listrik meningkat signifikan mencapai lebih dari 75.000 unit pada akhir 2023. Namun, kendaraan listrik, khususnya bus listrik, tetap menghasilkan panas dari komponen seperti baterai, inverter, dan motor listrik. Oleh karena itu, sistem pendingin radiator menjadi sangat penting untuk menjaga suhu operasional komponen agar tetap dalam batas optimal dan mencegah overheat yang dapat merusak sistem. Laporan magang ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan memasang sistem pendingin radiator yang optimal pada bus listrik Lower Deck di STP Otomotif ITS, dengan fokus pada desain layout, pemilihan komponen, dan fabrikasi sistem pendingin. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap pengembangan teknologi kendaraan listrik nasional dan ekosistem kendaraan ramah lingkungan di lingkungan kampus.

The development of electric vehicles in Indonesia is growing rapidly as part of a national strategy to reduce carbon emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. According to data from the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the number of electric vehicles exceeded 75,000 units by the end of 2023. However, electric vehicles—particularly electric buses—still generate heat from components such as the battery, inverter, and electric motor. Therefore, the radiator cooling system plays a crucial role in maintaining component temperatures within optimal ranges to prevent overheating and system failure. This internship report aims to design and install an effective radiator cooling system on the Lower Deck electric bus at STP Otomotif ITS, focusing on system layout design, component selection, and cooling system fabrication. This activity contributes directly to the advancement of national electric vehicle technology and the promotion of environmentally friendly vehicle ecosystems in the academic environment.
