Abstract
PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya merupakan perusahaan milik pemerintah yang bertanggung jawab dalam penyediaan air minum untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat di Surabaya dan sekitarnya. Perusahaan ini mengoperasikan enam Instalasi Pengolahan Air Minum (IPAM), termasuk IPAM Ngagel II dan IPAM Karangpilang II yang memanfaatkan air baku dari Sungai Brantas. Kualitas air baku yang tidak memadai dapat menyebabkan air tidak layak konsumsi dan berisiko terhadap kesehatan, sehingga pengendalian kualitas dalam proses produksi air menjadi sangat penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengendalian kualitas air pada kedua IPAM dengan menggunakan grafik kendali Maximum Multivariate Cumulative Sum (Max-MCUSUM). Metode Max-MCUSUM dipilih karena mampu mendeteksi pergeseran kecil dalam proses multivariat secara lebih sensitif dibandingkan metode pengendalian konvensional. Variabel yang dianalisis meliputi kekeruhan, pH, zat organik, dan sisa klorin, yang merupakan indikator utama kualitas air. Proses analisis dilakukan dalam dua fase, yaitu fase I (musim kemarau) dan fase II (musim hujan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah pembersihan data out of control pada fase I, kedua IPAM telah berada dalam kendali statistik, sehingga analisis dilanjutkan ke fase II. Pada fase II, hanya IPAM Ngagel II yang menunjukkan kondisi terkendali secara statistik, sementara IPAM Karangpilang II belum. Kinerja proses dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kapabilitas proses secara multivariat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa IPAM Ngagel II memiliki nilai kapabilitas sebesar 0,935, sedangkan IPAM Karangpilang II sebesar 0,5625. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedua IPAM belum sepenuhnya kapabel dalam memenuhi standar kualitas yang ditetapkan secara konsisten.

PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya is a government owned company responsible for providing drinking water to meet the needs of residents in Surabaya and surrounding areas. The company operates six Water Treatment Plants (WTPs), including Ngagel II and Karangpilang II WTPs, which utilize raw water from the Brantas River. Inadequate raw water quality can result in non potable water and pose health risks, making quality control in the water production process critically important. This study aims to monitor
and control water quality in both WTPs using the Maximum Multivariate Cumulative Sum (Max-MCUSUM) control chart. The Max-MCUSUM method is chosen due to its higher sensitivity in detecting small shifts in multivariate processes compared to conventional control methods. The variables analyzed include turbidity, pH, organic substances, and residual chlorine, which are key indicators of water quality. The analysis was conducted in two phases, phase I (dry season) and phase II (rainy season). The results showed that after removing out of control data in phase I, both WTPs were statistically in control, allowing the analysis to proceed to phase II. In phase II, only Ngagel II WTP remained in a statistically controlled state, while Karangpilang II WTP did not. Process performance was further evaluated using a multivariate process capability approach. The results indicated that Ngagel II WTP had a capability value of 0.935, whereas Karangpilang II WTP had a value of 0.5625. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that both WTPs have not yet fully achieved consistent capability in meeting established water quality standards.
