Abstract
Industri kertas di Indonesia memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung perekonomian nasional, namun juga menghadapi tantangan dalam pengelolaan limbah seperti paper sludge. PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk memberikan solusi dengan memanfaatkan paper sludge sebagai material alternatif dalam proses produksi semen guna mendukung upaya keberlanjutan lingkungan. Paper sludge digunakan menjadi material alternatif karena memiliki kandungan CaO tinggi yang dapat menggantikan batu kapur dalam produksi semen, sehingga mengurangi limbah dari industri kertas juga. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengendalian kualitas pada 4 karakteristik kualitas limbah paper sludge sebagai material alternatif dalam proses produksi semen yaitu SiO₂,Al₂O₃,Fe₂O₃, dan CaO menggunakan diagram kendali MEWMV untuk monitoring variabilitas proses dan diagram kendali Spatial Signed Rank MEWMA (SSRM) untuk monitoring rata-rata proses. Pada diagram kendali MEWMV fase I didapatkan pembobot optimum ω=0,1 dan λ=0,5 yang menunjukkan adanya pengamatan out of control sebanyak 38 pengamatan. Dengan pembobot tersebut diperoleh 52 pengamatan out of control pada fase II. Pada diagram kendali SSRM fase I dengan pembobot λ=0,2 ditemukan 11 pengamatan out of control dan pada fase II ditemukan 5 pengamatan out of control. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan kapabilitas proses pada karakteristik limbah paper sludge yang dilakukan secara univariat, menunjukkan proses telah memiliki tingkat kepresisian yang baik dalam memenuhi spesifikasi perusahaan. Namun, proses belum memiliki tingkat akurasi yang cukup baik dalam memenuhi batas spesifikasi yang telah ditetapkan oleh perusahaan sehingga proses secara keseluruhan belum kapabel.

The paper industry in Indonesia has great potential to support the national economy, but it also faces challenges in waste management, such as paper sludge. PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk provides a solution by utilizing paper sludge as an alternative material in the cement production process to support environmental sustainability efforts. Paper sludge is used as an alternative material because it has a high CaO content that can replace limestone in cement production, thereby reducing waste from the paper industry as well. In this study, quality control was conducted on four quality characteristics of paper sludge waste as an alternative material in the cement production process: SiO₂,Al₂O₃,Fe₂O₃, and CaO, using the MEWMV control chart for monitoring process variability and the Spatial Signed Rank MEWMA (SSRM) control chart for monitoring process averages. In the MEWMV control chart phase I, the optimal weights ω=0,1 and λ=0,5 were obtained, indicating 38 out-of-control observations. With these weights, 52 out-of-control observations were obtained in phase II. In the SSRM control chart phase I with weight λ=0,2, 11 out-of-control observations were found, and in phase II, 5 out-of-control observations were found. Based on the results of univariate calculations of process capabilities for paper sludge waste characteristics, the process has demonstrated a high degree of precision in meeting company specifications. However, the process does not yet have a high enough level of accuracy to meet the specification limits set by the company, so the process as a whole is not yet capable.
