Abstract

Game-based learning (GBL) merupakan konsep yang cocok dengan pendekatan yang dilakukan oleh kurikulum merdeka saat ini di mana metode pembelajaran didorong supaya lebih mandiri dan interaktif. Untuk mencapai hal ini, pengajar dapat menggunakan perangkat lunak game engine dalam kebutuhannya membangun sebuah gim interaktif sebagai media evaluasi. RPG Maker merupakan sebuah game engine yang memudahkan dalam membangun sebuah gim terkhusus yang bergenre Role-Playing Game (RPG). Walaupun begitu, engine ini masih memiliki keterbatasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah plugin kuis yang sudah ada supaya lebih dinamis melalui pembuatan sistem manajemen yang memanfaatkan Google Spreadsheet sebagai sumber bank soal. Sistem tersebut bertugas mengelola bank soal mana yang akan digunakan sehingga plugin hanya bertindak mengambil kumpulan soal tersebut untuk digunakan dalam gim. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebuah sistem manajemen plugin kuis yang meningkatkan fleksibilitas dalam pembuatan dan pengelolaan pertanyaan yang ditujukan terhadap gim yang dikembangkan menggunakan RPG Maker MZ dan ingin menerapkan fitur kuis di dalamnya. Pengguna dapat dengan mudah memodifikasi atau memperbarui soal kuis langsung melalui fitur Google Spreadsheet serta mengganti dokumen mana yang akan digunakan tanpa perlu memodifikasi isi gim atau plugin. Integrasi sistem eksternal berbasis Google Spreadsheet memberikan solusi yang lebih efisien dalam pengembangan gim kuis sebagai implementasi GBL yang dinamis dan adaptif.

Game-based learning (GBL) is a concept that fits well with the approach taken by the current merdeka curriculum, in which learning methods are encouraged to be more independent and interactive. To achieve this, teachers can use game engine software to build interactive games as a means of evaluation. RPG Maker is a game engine that makes it easy for anyone to build a game, especially in the Role-Playing Game (RPG) genre. Even so, this engine still has its own limitations. This research aims to develop an existing quiz plugin to be more dynamic through the creation of a management system that utilizes Google Spreadsheet as a source of question banks. The system is in charge of managing which question bank to use so that the plugin only acts to retrieve the question bank to be used in the game. The result of this research is a quiz plugin management system that increases flexibility in the creation and management of questions aimed at games developed using RPG Maker MZ that want to implement some quiz features in it. Users can easily modify or update quiz questions directly through the Google Spreadsheet feature and change which document to use without the need to modify the game content or plugin. The integration of an external system based on Google Spreadsheet provides a more efficient solution in the development of quiz games as a dynamic and adaptive implementation of GBL concept.
