Abstract

Rokok merupakan salah satu produk yang sering dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat dari berbagai kelompok usia. Seiring waktu, permintaan terhadap produk rokok terus meningkat. PT.XYZ Surabaya sebagai salah satu produsen filter rokok juga menerima lonjakan permintaan produk filter jenis mono acetate, namun dalam proses produksinya masih terdapat kendala pada variasi mutu dan evaluasi kapabilitas proses produksi yang dilakukan masih bersifat univariat dengan menilai karakteristik kualitas seperti circumference (CIR) dan pressure drop (PD) secara terpisah yang pada nyatanya kedua variabel tersebut saling berkaitan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis kapabilitas proses secara multivariat melalui peta kendali Generalized Variance dan T² Hotelling untuk memperoleh gambaran yang lebih menyeluruh dan akurat dalam peningkatan mutu produk. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pada Fase 1 dan Fase 2 proses produksi tidak kapabel dengan nilai 〖MC〗_p dan 〖MC〗_pk pada masing-masing fase sebesar 0,445 dan 0,565 serta 0,410 dan 0,500. Ketidaksesuaian sering terjadi dikarenakan faktor operator yang mengantuk, komponen mesin yang mengalami keausan, material yang tidak sesuai standar, metode yang tidak representatif, dan alat ukur yang kurang dikalibrasi. Agar dapat mendeteksi adanya anomali proses lebih cepat maka dikembangkan dashboard monitoring menggunakan analisis multivariat berbasis website yang dapat mempermudah pengambilan keputusan strategis guna menjaga konsistensi kualitas produk di PT. XYZ Surabaya.

Cigarettes are one of the products frequently consumed by people from various age groups. Over time, the demand for cigarette products has continued to increase. PT.XYZ Surabaya, as one of the cigarette filter manufacturers, has also received a surge in demand for mono acetate filter products; however, in the production process, there are still obstacles in quality variation, and the process capability evaluation conducted is still univariate by assessing quality characteristics such as circumference (CIR) and pressure drop (PD) separately, which in reality, these two variables are interrelated. Therefore, this study uses a multivariate process capability analysis approach through Generalized Variance and Hotelling’s T² control charts to obtain a more comprehensive and accurate overview in improving product quality. The analysis results show that in Phase 1 and Phase 2, the production process is not capable, with 〖MC〗_p and 〖MC〗_pk values in each phase of 0,445 and 0,565, as well as 0,410 and 0,500. Non-conformities often occur due to factors such as drowsy operators, machine components experiencing wear, materials that do not meet standards, non-representative methods, and measuring tools that are not calibrated. In order to detect process anomalies more quickly, a monitoring dashboard was developed using web-based multivariate analysis that can facilitate strategic decision-making to maintain product quality consistency at PT. XYZ Surabaya.
