Abstract

Pengelolaan limbah industri merupakan aspek penting dalam menjaga kualitas lingkungan dan mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan. Dukungan masyarakat menjadi salah satu faktor yang dapat memengaruhi keberhasilan pengelolaan limbah industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perilaku masyarakat dalam mendukung pengelolaan limbah industri menggunakan TPB (Theory of Planned Behavior). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksplanatori. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 75 responden yang tinggal di Kecamatan Kanigaran, Kecamatan Wonoasih, dan Kecamatan Mayangan di Kota Probolinggo. Analisis data menggunakan PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling) dengan variabel meliputi attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, intention, dan behavior. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjective norms dan perceived behavioral control berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap intention. Selain itu, perceived behavioral control dan intention berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap behavior. Sebaliknya, attitudes tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap intention. Hasil pengujian mediasi menunjukkan bahwa intention tidak memediasi pengaruh attitudes terhadap behavior, tetapi mampu memediasi pengaruh subjective norms dan perceived behavioral control terhadap behavior. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa dukungan masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan limbah industri lebih dipengaruhi norma sosial dan persepsi kemampuan untuk terlibat dibandingkan oleh evaluasi pribadi dalam dukungan pengelolaan limbah industri.

Industrial waste management is an important aspect of maintaining environmental quality and supporting sustainable development. Community support is one of the factors that can influence the success of industrial waste management. This study aims to analyze community behavior in supporting industrial waste management using the TPB (Theory of Planned Behavior). This study employed a quantitative method with an explanatory approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 75 respondents residing in Kanigaran District, Wonoasih District, and Mayangan District, Probolinggo City. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), with the variables including attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, intention, and behavior. The results showed that subjective norms and perceived behavioral control had a positive and significant effect on intention. In addition, perceived behavioral control and intention had a positive and significant effect on behavior. In contrast, attitudes did not have a significant effect on intention. The mediation analysis indicated that intention did not mediate the effect of attitudes on behavior, but it was able to mediate the effects of subjective norms and perceived behavioral control on behavior. These findings indicate that community support for industrial waste management is influenced more by social norms and perceived ability to participate than by personal evaluations regarding support for industrial waste management.
