Abstract
Pompa sentrifugal G204 ABC digunakan untuk mengalirkan Degumming Bleached Palm Oil (DBPO) menuju Niagara filter pada proses pemurnian minyak kelapa sawit di Refinery 3 PT SMART Tbk. Keandalan pompa perlu dijaga karena kerusakan dapat menghambat proses produksi dan meningkatkan biaya perawatan. Laporan magang ini bertujuan menganalisis pelaksanaan maintenance pompa G204 ABC serta mengevaluasi performa pompa G204 C berdasarkan kondisi sistem perpipaan aktual. Metode yang digunakan meliputi survei lapangan, studi literatur, pengumpulan data spesifikasi dan riwayat perawatan, pengukuran parameter kondisi, serta perhitungan bilangan Reynolds, head loss major, head loss minor, head efektif total, water horsepower, dan brake horsepower. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa head efektif aktual pompa sebesar 31,87 m, masih berada di bawah head teoritis pompa sebesar 60 m. Nilai water horsepower diperoleh sebesar 2,85 HP, sedangkan kebutuhan brake horsepower sebesar 16,76 HP atau 12,49 kW, masih di bawah daya motor sebesar 15 kW. Dengan demikian, penurunan kondisi pompa tidak terutama disebabkan oleh kebutuhan head, tetapi lebih mungkin dipengaruhi oleh faktor mekanis, seperti ketidaksejajaran poros, ketidakseimbangan impeller, kelonggaran dudukan, kerusakan bearing, dan kebocoran mechanical seal. Pemeriksaan kondisi menunjukkan getaran aksial sebesar 4,3 mm/s, vertikal 6,8 mm/s, dan horizontal 8,0 mm/s. Perawatan prediktif perlu dilakukan melalui pemeriksaan kebersihan pelumas, temperatur bearing, getaran, kebisingan, level oli, dan kekencangan komponen. Penerapan pemantauan kondisi secara rutin dapat mengurangi kerusakan berulang, menekan biaya perbaikan, dan menjaga keberlangsungan proses produksi.

The G204 ABC centrifugal pumps are used to transfer Degumming Bleached Palm Oil (DBPO) to the Niagara filter during the palm oil refining process at Refinery 3 of PT SMART Tbk. Pump reliability must be maintained because equipment failure can disrupt the production process and increase maintenance costs. This industrial internship report aims to analyze the maintenance activities of the G204 ABC pumps and evaluate the performance of the G204 C pump based on the actual piping system. The methods consisted of field surveys, literature studies, collection of pump specification and maintenance data, condition parameter measurements, and calculations of Reynolds number, major head loss, minor head loss, total effective head, water horsepower, and brake horsepower. The calculation results show that the actual effective head of the pump is 31.87 m, which remains below its theoretical head of 60 m. The water horsepower is 2.85 HP, while the required brake horsepower is 16.76 HP or 12.49 kW, which is still below the installed motor power of 15 kW. Therefore, the deterioration of the pump condition is not primarily caused by excessive head requirements but is more likely associated with mechanical factors, including shaft misalignment, impeller imbalance, loose mounting, bearing damage, and mechanical seal leakage. Condition measurements indicate axial, vertical, and horizontal vibration values of 4.3 mm/s, 6.8 mm/s, and 8.0 mm/s, respectively. Predictive maintenance should include regular monitoring of lubricant cleanliness, bearing temperature, vibration, noise, oil level, and component tightness. Routine condition monitoring can reduce recurring failures, minimize repair costs, and maintain the continuity of the production process.
