Abstract
Media Pembelajaran tentang Kimia Hidrokarbon berbasis mobile saat ini relatif cukup banyak. Namun yang memiliki metode penyampaian dengan cara yang mudah dipahami sekaligus menyenangkan bagi SMA atau anak muda usia 17-22 masih belum ada. Padahal pemahaman materi ini cukup mempengaruhi pada persepsi terhadap pembelajaran kimia sendiri. Media tersebut rata-rata hanya sebatas pendukung buku pembelajaran yakni sebagai latihan pengayaan sesudah materi diberikan. Oleh karenanya, untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut maka dirancang sebuah Casual Mobile Game tentang kimia Hidrokarbon dengan konsep edutainment dan tema fantasi sains sehingga siswa diharapkan dapat tertarik belajar kimia khususnya Hidrokarbon dengan menyenangkan.
Perancangan mobile game tersebut menggunakan metode riset kualitatif melalui survey, wawancara, maupun studi pustaka untuk mengumpulkan data berupa preferensi target audiens serta kriteria dari praktisi. Konten dibatasi pada pembakaran Hidrokarbon yang memiliki pesan pembelajaran sederhana berupa pencemaran lingkungan. Penyampaian konten dibagi dalam beberapa chapter dengan tantangan yang berbeda agar siswa dapat tertarik serta memahami secara lebih sistematis namun komprehensif tentang senyawa Hidrokarbon.
Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa pengembangan metode mengantar konten berupa narasi, gameplay maupun karakter merupakan hal berpengaruh signifikan untuk menarik pengguna terhadap pembelajaran pembakaran Hidrokarbon. Pesan pembelajaran telah mampu dipahami pengguna namun keseluruhan sifat-sifat dari senyawa Hidrokarbon belum sepenuhnya dapat diimplementasikan. Selain itu, dikarenakan media lebih menekankan sisi hiburan maka pengguna masih memerlukan rujukan kepada buku pembelajaran untuk lebih mendalami materi tersebut. ================================================================================================================== Mobile-Based Medias about Hydrocarbon are quite a lot. But the one that has a method of delivery to make understandable in easy way as well as fun for high school or young people aged 17-22 is still not exist. The understanding of this material is quite influential on the perception of learning chemistry itself. The existing medias merely limited as supporting medias of textbook as an exercise after the main material is given. Therefore, to answer the challenge then designed a Casual Mobile Game about Hydrocarbon chemistry with the concept of edutainment and science fantasy theme so that students are expected to be interested in learning chemistry especially Hydrocarbons with fun.
The design of the mobile game used qualitative research methods through survey, interview, and literature study to collect datas in the form of audience target preference and criteria from practitioners. Content is limited to Hydrocarbons combustion that has a simple learning message of environmental pollution. The delivery of content is divided into several chapters with different challenges so that students can be interested and understand more systematically but comprehensively about hydrocarbon compounds.
This research resulted in the conclusion that the development of content delivery method in the form of narration, gameplay and characters has significant effect to attract users to learn about Hydrocarbon combustion. Learning message has been understood by the user but the overall properties of Hydrocarbon compounds have not been fully implemented. In addition, because the media more emphasize the entertainment side, then there still needs to be a reference for users to learn the textbook that they deepen the material.
