Abstract
Indonesia adalah negara kepulauan yang terdri dari lima pulau besar dan pulau-pulau kecil yang tersebar. Pulau Kalimantan (Indonesia) memiliki peranan penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia. Seiring bertambah beban listrik di Kalimantan setiap tahun, maka pemerintah dengan Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) melakukan perancangan penambahan sistem kelistrikan Kalimantan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan listrik dan mentransfer daya listrik ke Jawa melalui Backbone HVDC (High Voltage DC) 500 kV. Backbone HVDC 500 kV menghubungkan sistem kelistrikan di area Kalimantan Barat, Kalimantan Selatan, Kalimantan Timur, Kalimantan Utara, dan Jawa Timur (Gresik). Penelitian ini membahas tentang kestabilan sistem HVDC 500 kV akibat dari gangguan hubung singkat yang menghasilkan perubahan tegangan maksimal 2% dan frekuensi sebesar 0,2%. Analisis kestabilan sistem kelistrikan HVDC menggunakan metode Time Domain Simulation (TDS).
============= Indonesia is the archipelago country consist of 5 big islands and small islands. Kalimantan island (Indonesia) has important role in Indonesia economic. Along the enhancement of electricity load in Kalimantan each years, Indonesia Government designs enhancement of electricity system in Kalimantan in order to meet electricity needs. 500 kV DC Backbones used for connecting electricity system in West, South, East, and North Kalimantan, while electricity power transferred to Java from Banjarmasin (South Kalimantan) to Gresik (East Java). This research discuss about stability of HVDC 500 kV system due to short circuit in dc line disturbance which making voltage change maximum 2% and frequency change 0,2%. Analysis of HVDC system stability by using Time Domain Simulation (TDS).
