Abstract
Manajemen persediaan merupakan salah satu fungsi yang sangat penting didalam industri semen, Persediaan yang berlebihan akan menyebabkan pengeluaran biaya yang tinggi, sedangkan persediaan yang tidak cukup akan menyebabkan terhambatnya kelancaran produksi. Industri semen sendiri sangat identik dengan penggunaan raw material yang keberadaannya sangat terbatas sehingga perencanaan yang matang dalam hal penyediaan raw material menjadi sangat penting. Dalam industri semen sendiri supply chain memerankan peranan yang sangat vital dalam mengintegrasikan proses bisnis dari raw material hingga kepada konsumen akhir. Dalam study ini akan dibahas bagaimana melakukan simulasi supply chain dengan menyeimbangkan biaya inventory raw material dengan pemenuhan kebutuhan pada proses selanjutnya, skenario simulasi akan lebih di fokuskan pada performance metrics yang dapat di konversikan kedalam ukuran keuangan yaitu meliputi: service level proses selanjutnya, biaya reorder serta biaya inventory raw material. Hasil dari simulasi dan pemodelan manajemen inventory yang dilakukan dengan 4 skenario kebijakan inventory yang berbeda memberikan hasil bahwa strategi inventory (S, t) memiliki nilai inventory paling rendah dari skenario yang lain namun masih memiliki biaya reorder yang tinggi.===================================================================Inventory management is one of the most important functions in the cement industry. Excessive inventory will lead to high expenditures, while insufficient inventory will lead to inhibition of production process. In the other hand cement industry is very synonymous with the consumption of raw material that is limited from natural resources. Because of that all reason, careful planning in terms of raw material provision becomes very important. In the cement industry own supply chain plays a very vital role in integrating business processes from raw materials to final customers. In order to know and implement strategies to build and improve supply chain network, simulation is used as one of the tools for modelling supply chain system in cement industry. In this study it will typically focus on the following key performance metrics, which eventually can be translated to monetary measures: customer /next process service levels, reorder cost and inventory cost. The result of simulation and modeling of inventory management performed with 4 different inventory policy scenarios gives result that inventory strategy (S, t) has the lowest inventory value from other scenarios but still has high reorder cost.
