Abstract

Semakin besar parameter bahan mikrokutub maka profil mikrorotasi semakin rendah sampai titik tertentu kemudian berbalik menjadi semakin tinggi.

This research examines the characterization unsteady magnetohydrodinamic micropolar fluid pass a sphere affected by mixed convection. The characterization consists of velocity, temperature, and microrotation profile of fluid particle based on variation of magnetic parameter, mixed convection parameter, Prandtl number, and micropolar parameter. For solving this problem, we develop mathematic model that construct from continuity equation, momentum equation, angular equation, and energy equation. The dimensional equations that have been obtained is converted to non dimensional equations. These equations are further converted into similarity equations and solved numerically by using Euler implicit scheme. The result shows that the velocity become greater with the increasingly mixed convection parameter (α). The velocity decreases when magnetic parameter(M), micropolar parameter(K), and Prandtl number(Pr) increase. The increasingly mixed convection and micropolar parameter lead to the increasingly temperature. Moreover, temperature will decreases when magnetic parameter (M) and Prandtl number (Pr) increase. When microrotation profile increases, magnetic parameter and Prandtl number increase. Whereas microrotation profile decreases with increasing mixed convection parameter. Microrotation profile increases when micropolar parameter decreases on a point, then microrotation profile will decreases with increasing micropolar parameter.
