Abstract

Diperoleh laju aliran massa elektroda yang digunakan plat stainless steel sebesar 77,3 Kg/jam, tube alumunium sebesar 72,2 Kg/jam, plat besi sebesar 42,2 Kg/jam.

Due to the depletion of fuel oil makes humans trying to find alternative energy that is environmentally friendly. Water and Hydrogen are the focus of renewable energy developers because they are cleaner (environmentally friendly). Water can be converted into one of the environmentally friendly alternative fuels by converting it into gaseous form through electrolysis process. The electrolysis process separates the water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen gas, that is by passing an electric current to the electrode to the electrolyte solution ie the water mixture already added the catalyst is located. This tool is called HHO (Oxyhydrogen).
Further testing is done to measure the mass flow rate at this HHO output using U tube manometer without using load. Variables used are 3 different electrode, namely stainless steel plate, aluminum tube, and iron plate.
The electrode mass flow rate of stainless steel plate is 77,3 Kg / hour, aluminum tube 72,2 Kg / hour, iron plate 42,2 Kg / hour.
