Abstract

Monitoring system is an instrumentation that is useful for monitoring, scanning and to monitor a state from a system. Monitoring system can be applied in the marine, which is used for monitoring activities of various systems remotely in the engine roomusing computer networks. This research was conducted with the final results in the form of a Mobile-based Monitoring System (Android) Application that is able to provide information from a distance to facilitate monitoring activities. The application is also designed to be able to do troubleshooting and is equipped with an early warning system. This system monitoring application will be used for monitoring fuel systems on ships and supporting systems. This application is designed to be able to monitor the state of the system in the engine room of the ship from long a distance in realtime. Applications can also do troubleshooting and be equipped with an early warning system. This research includes several systems in the engine room, namely the Fuel Oil System, Lubricating Oil System, Cooling System and Exhaust System. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to design a system with the right accuracy and can function properly. The User Interfacing that will be used is Android. The results of inputting data will be sent to Android via the internet network using the Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
