Abstract
Sejarah pertanian adalah bagian dari sejarah kebudayaan manusia. Di Indonesia pertanian hingga saat ini masih dinilai sebagai sektor penggerak perekonomian yang penting dan terbukti memiliki ketahanan yang paling tinggi pada saat terjadi dan pasca periode krisis ekonomi maupun krisis moneter sejak awal 1997. Namun dewasa ini minat masyarakat pada sektor pertanian semakin menurun dan menyebabkan penurunan jumlah lahan pertanian dan tenaga kerja untuk sektor ini. Dengan adanya permasalahan ini dan berbagai dampak yang ditimbulkan, dapat diprediksi bahwa Indonesia akan menghadapi kemungkinan krisis pangan dimasa depan. Berawal dari keprihatinan penulis akan permasalahan tersebut, maka Tugas Akhir ini dibuat dengan mengangkat isu dari bidang pertanian yaitu fenomena kurangnya pengetahuan dan kepedulian masyarakat akan kondisi pertanian Indonesia. Untuk menyelesaikan isu ini diajukan usulan obyek berupa Resor Agrikultur yang berlokasi di desa Jatiarjo, Pasuruan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembentukan konsep dan pemunculan desain obyek adalah metode Engineering Design Process oleh Michael J. French dan metode Metafora. Dengan menggunakan kedua metode tersebut, resor ini diharapkan mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan dari isu.

The history of agriculture is part of the history of human culture. In Indonesian agriculture is still considered as an important sector for economic growth and proved to have the highest resistance in the event and after the period of economic crisis and financial crisis since the beginning of 1997. But these days the public interest in the agricultural sector declined and led to a decrease in the number of agricultural land and labor for this sector. With the existence of this problem and the various impacts of that problem, can be predicted that Indonesia will face the possibility of a food crisis in the future. Starting from the concern of the author for that problem, then this final project was made by raising the issue of agriculture, namely the phenomenon of lack of knowledge and public awareness of the condition of Indonesian agriculture. To resolve this issue, the object of this final project proposed in the form of agricultural resort located in Jatiarjo village, Pasuruan. The method used in the concept and design objects is a method of Engineering Design Process by Michael J. French and method of Metaphor. By using both methods, the resort is expected to solve the problem of the issue.
