Abstract
Indeks Prestasi merupakan tolak ukur keberhasilan mahasiswa dalam
masa perkuliahan. Pada awal masa perkuliahan, dikenal adanya
Indeks Prestasi Persiapan (IPP) yang diperoleh dari rata-rata hasil
evaluasi belajar pada semester pertama dan kedua. Indeks prestasi ini
dapat dipengaruhi berbagai faktor, faktor-faktor tersebut dapat
merupakan faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal diantaranya
intelektual, aspek sosial serta lingkungan. Berdasarkan undangundang
dan peraturan pemerintah mengenai pendidikan, jalur masuk
perguruan tinggi negeri terdapat tiga jenis yaitu jalur tanpa tes, tes
tulis dan mandiri. Jalur masuk juga diduga menjadi salah satu faktor
yang mempengaruhi IPP. ITS sebagai perguruan tinggi negeri di
Indonesia juga memiliki kriteria untuk menjaring calon mahasiswanya,
pada penelitian sebelumnya telah banyak pembahasan mengenai
analisis indeks prestasi serta jalur masuk pada perguruan tinggi
negeri, namun pada penelitian ini ingin diketahui faktor-faktor apa
saja yang mempengaruhi indeks prestasi mahasiswa ITS dengan
menggunakan Indeks Prestasi Persiapan dan variabel prediktor yang
diduga mempengaruhinya. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder
yang didapatkan dari BAKP, UPMB serta Pusat Bahasa ITS mengenai
IPP mahasiswa angkatan 2014 dan dianalisis menggunakan metode
regresi logistik ordinal. Didapatkan hasil analisis model telah sesuai
dengan nilai R-square sebesar 28% serta ketepatan klasifikasi sebesar
65, 669%.

GPA is a standard way of measuring academic achievement scale at
most colleges. At the beginning of college term, it’s known as
Preparation Performance Index (IPP), which is obtained from the
average results of the evaluation study in the first and second term. This
performance index affected by many factors, either internal or external
factors which are the intellectual, social and environmental aspects.
Based on the laws and regulations concern in college education, there
are three ways to get in the college by passing without test, writting test
and independent path. The way to get can be one of the factors that
affect the IPP itself. ITS as a public university in Indonesia also has
some criterias to attract their prospective students. In the previous
studies, it has done many discussions about performance index analysis
as well as the way to get in a public university, but in this study it’ll be
discussed about what factors are affecting the performance index ITS
students by using a Preparation Performance Index (IPP) and variables
that migght affect it.. The used data is a secondary data obtained from
BAKP, UPMB and ITS Language Center for students in 2014 using
ordinal logistic regression method. It’s given that the model is already
fit with the value of R-square is 28% and the accuracy of the
classification is 65, 669%.
