Abstract
Kekokohan desain kontrol pada suatu sistem bangunan bertingkat merupakan hal penting yang harus diperhatikan. Dalam beberapa kasus, terjadinya keruntuhan gedung bertingkat disebabkan oleh adanya beberapa gangguan eksternal yang terjadi secara tiba-tiba. Dalam hal ini, sistem kontrol Robust dengan teknik kontrol H∞ sangat tepat digunakan dalam perancangan gedung bertingkat, karena didunia nyata sistem kontrol ini rentan terhadap gangguan eksternal. Gedung bertingkat merupakan suatu sistem kompleks yang akan menghasilkan sistem berorde tinggi. Analisis Sistem dengan orde tinggi akan lebih sulit dibandingkan sistem dengan orde rendah. Pada tugas akhir ini, dilakukan desain kontrol orde rendah dengan menggunakan metode H∞ dan Balanced Truncation. Metode H∞ digunakan untuk mendapatkan desain kontrol dari sistem awal. Selanjutnya, digunakan metode Balanced Truncation untuk mereduksi sistem kontrol sehingga diharapkan bisa menghasilkan desain kontrol berorde rendah yang masih bisa diterapkan pada sistem awal. Berdasarkan hasil Tugas Akhir ini, diperoleh desain kontrol orde rendah yang dapat diterapkan pada sistem awal selama infinity-norm nya tidak melebihi nilai gammanya.

The robustness of the control design in a multilevel system is an important thing that must be considered. In some cases, the collapse of a multi-storey building is caused by some of disruptions that occurred sudddenly. In this case, the Robust control system with the H∞ control technique is very appropriate to be used in the design of multi-storey buildings, because in the real world this control system is vulnerable to external interference. Multi-storey building is a complex system that will produce a high order system. Analysis of a high-order system will be more difficult than a low-order system. In this final project, a low order control design is carried out using the H∞ and Balanced Truncation method. The H∞ method is used to get the control design from the initial system. Furthermore, the Balanced Truncation method is used to reduce the control system so that it can produce a low-order control design that can still be applied to the initial system. Based on the results of this Final Project, a low order control design is obtained that can be applied to the initial system as long as the infinity does not exceed the value of the gamma.
