Abstract
Asumsi dasar yang harus dipenuhi dalam penggunaan diagram kendali untuk pengendalian kualitas adalah data berdistribusi normal dan independen. Jika data tidak independen, maka hal tersebut mengindikasikan adanya autokorelasi. Untuk mengatasi autokorelasi, dilakukan pendekatan residual dari model time series untuk digunakan dalam diagram kendali. Pada penelitian ini, digunakan diagram kendali Improved Generalized Variance (IGV) dan T2 Hotelling pada data residual karakteristik kualitas produk gula kristal putih di PG. Rejo Agung Baru Madiun. Berdasarkan hasil analisa, batas kendali yang didapatkan dalam penerapan diagram kendali IGV yaitu batas kendali atas sebesar 88.75 dan batas kendali bawah sebesar 0 artinya pengendalian kualitas terhadap varians proses telah terkendali secara statistik. Sedangkan, batas kendali yang didapatkan dalam penerapan diagram kendali T2 Hotelling yaitu batas kendali atas sebesar 15.29 dan batas kendali bawah sebesar 0 artinya pengendalian kualitas terhadap mean proses belum terkendali secara statistik.

The basic assumptions that must be satisfied in the use of control charts for quality control are normally distributed and independent data. If the data are not independent, it indicates autocorrelation. To overcome this autocorrelation, the residual approach from the time series model to be used in the control chart. In this research, Improved Generalized Variance (IGV) and T2 Hotelling control chart are used in residual data of the quality characteristics of white crystal sugar products in PG. Rejo Agung Baru Madiun. Based on the analysis results, the control limit obtained in the application of the IGV control chart is the upper control limit of 88.75 and the lower control limit of 0 means that the quality control of variance process has been statistically controlled. Meanwhile, the control limits obtained in the application of the Hotelling T2 control chart are the upper control limit of 15.29 and the lower control limit of 0 means that quality control of the mean process has not been statistically controlled.
