Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang perancangan peningkatan reliability sistem produksi phosphoric acid (PA) 3A di PT Petrokimia Gresik. Pengukuran performansi reliability menggunakan reliability function, hazard function dan mean time to failure (MTTF). Perhitungan performansi reliability dilakukan pada 3 level yaitu level 0 adalah sistem, level 1 adalah sub-sistem, dan level 2 adalah peralatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan distribusi phase-type dan reliability block diagram (RBD). Perhitungan menggunakan distribusi phase-type dilakukan secara matriks dan RBD secara skalar. Distribusi phase-type dapat meningkatkan fleksibilitas dan kepraktisan dalam analisa reliability sistem karena distribusi phase-type dapat mendekati semua distribusi acak apapun dan menunjukkan perilaku kegagalan komponen yang direpresentasikan dalam bentuk matriks. Hasil perhitungan kedua model tersebut dilakukan validasi dengan melihat hasil perhitungan dan grafik performansi reliability. Selanjutnya dilakukan identifikasi sub-sistem dan peralatan kritis menggunakan Birnbaum importance index. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan sub-sistem kritis adalah Hemhydrate Filter dan peralatan kritis adalah Hemhydrate Slurry Pump. Hasil analisa sensitivitas dari tujuh skenario yang telah dilakukan maka rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan reliability sistem adalah menambah satu peralatan baru dan merubah ke dalam struktur cold standby redundancy dengan perfect switching.

This research discusses the design of improving the reliability of phosphoric acid (PA) 3A production systems at PT Petrokimia Gresik. Reliability performance is measured using reliability function, hazard function, and mean time to failure (MTTF). The reliability performance calculation is performed at 3 levels that is, level 0 is the system, level 1 is the sub-system, and level 2 is the equipment. This study uses a phase-type distribution approach and a reliability block diagram (RBD). Calculations using phase-type distributions are done in a matrix and scalar RBD. The phase-type distribution enhances the flexibility and practicality of the system reliability analysis because it well approximates any random distribution and can represent the many levels of good condition before it finally fails. The results of the calculations from the two models are validated by looking at the results of calculations and performance reliability graphs. Then, the identification of sub-systems and critical equipment was done by using the Birnbaum importance index. The identification result shows that the critical sub-system is Hemihydrate Filter and the critical equipment is Hemihydrate Slurry Pump. The result of the sensitivity analysis of 7 scenarios that had been done, then the recommendation to improve reliability system is to add one new component and change to cold standby redundancy structure with perfect switching.
