Abstract

penanganan jasa medik veteriner. Rumah Sakit Hewan Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan
masyarakat dibidang kesehatan hewan.

In this today’s lifestyle, pets need special care when it getting sick like
humans. Therefore, animal hospitals has an important role as a place of service and
handling veterinary medical services. The Animal Hospital of the Faculty of
Veterinary Medicine, Airlangga University (UNAIR) is one of the hospitals which
serving the community of animal health. The aim of this animal hospital is not only
oriented to the material and become a public facility, and as an educational tool for
community. In addition, the aim of this animal hospital itself is to increase the
economy and increase employment for veterinary medical staff.
In designing interior design at this animal hospital, it requires redesign that
focuses on the condition of the space. Where the current space conditions are less
than optimal because some facilities have been broken and a lot of empty space that
has not been optimize according to the needs of RSHP users. Such conditions can
psychologically suppress the level of stress and anxiety experienced by patients and
visitors as well as managers of this animal hospital. Anxiety, stress, and depression
arising from psychological effects due to poor environmental quality can make
people vulnerable to mental and physical weakness.
Based on the results of the author's research by collecting data through
observation and questionnaires. There are several aspects that need to be considered
to answer the problem including rearranging the location and function of the room
so that it is optimal by using the concept of Biophilic. This concept used to optimize
facilities and to arrange the flow of circulation, but still by considering animal
hospital standards.
