Abstract

Terjadinya Pandemi COVID 19 memberikan dampak yang signifikan bagi perekonomi dunia. Menurut Dirjen IKFT, sekitar 60% industri di Indonesia akan berdampak negatif karena kondisi ini, namun 40% industri di Indonesia akan merasakan dampak permintaan yang tinggi sehingga diharapkan mampu membantu membantu menunjang perekonomian Indonesia. Menurut data laju pertumbuhan PDB industri pengolahan triwulan I 2021, industri furnitur memiliki laju pertumbuhan PDB yang meningkat pesat setelah industri kimia. PT. X merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di sektor industri furnitur dengan sistem produksi make-to-order (MTO). Pendapatan PT. X berasal dari 64% pasar Amerika Serikat, yang dimana pendapatan penjualan furnitur di Amerika Serikat juga turut naik pada tahun yang sama. Dari peningkatan pertumbuhan tersebut, berdampak kepada peningkatan permintaan pelanggan, yang kemungkinan juga turut akan meningkat di masa yang akan datang. Hal ini menjadi masalah bagi Gudang hardware yang menjadi kewalahan dalam melakukan pengiriman material ke pihak produksi. Apabila kejadian tersebut tidak segera diperbaiki, maka akan berdampak pada keterlambatan pengiriman ke customer yang mengakibatkan kerugian bagi perusahaan. Permasalahan yang terjadi merupakan permasalahan pada operasional Gudang hardware yang berdampak pada peningkatan pemborosan (non value added activity). Namun, pengelola Gudang masih belum yakin pada bagian mana operasional yang bermasalah. Untuk itu, menggunakan konsep lean untuk mengurangi terjadinya pemborosan guna meningkatkan performansi Gudang. Hal pertama yang dilakukan adalah identifikasi permasalahan kritis yang diangkat dari non value added acitivity kritis menggunakan pareto chart, lalu mengidentifikasi pemborosan kritis dengan menggunakan Genba shikumi, dan mengidentifikasi performansi berupa atribut kritis menggunakan diagram importance performance analysis. Menentukan akar penyebab terjadinya permasalahan menggunakan 5why’s, dan membuat rekomendasi perbaikan dengan menggunakan 5S. Discrete event simulation digunakan untuk membantu menentukan mana rekomendasi scenario perbaikan yang memiliki dampak positif terbanyak.

The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on world economy. According to the Director General of IKFT, around 60% of Indonesian’s industries will have a negative impatcs due to this condition. Over 40% of Indonesian’s industries will have a positive impacts such as high demand. It is expected to be able to support the Indonesian economy. According to GDP growth rate of manufacturing industry in the first quarter of 2021, the furniture industries increased rapidly after chemical industries. PT. X is a furniture company with make-to-order as a production system. PT. X income comes from 64% of United States market, where furniture sales revenue from those country also increased in the same year. From this growth, it has an impact on increasing customer demand, which is more likely to also increase for next year. This is a problem for support material warehouse who also overwhelmed in sending materials to production department. If the incident is not immediately corrected, it will have an serious impact on delays in delivery to the customer, this might also a big losses for company. Warehouse operations are the main problems that cause delays in material delivery, which have an impact on increasing waste (non-value-added activity). However, the warehouse manager is still not sure which part of the operation is problematic. For this reason, lean warehousing help to reduce the occurrence of wasre in order to improve warehouse performance. The first thing to do is identify critical problem that raised from critical non-value-added activities using pareto chart, then identify critical waste using Genba shikumi, and identify performance from of critical attributes using importance performance analysis diagrams. Determine the root cause of the problem using 5why's, and make recommendations for improvement using 5S. Then, discrete event simulation is used to help determine which improvement scenario recommendations have the most positive impact.
