Abstract

Menurunnya nilai Pembentukan Modal Tetap Bruto (PMTB) sebagai komponen investasi dalam Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) yang signifikan dari tahun 2018-2020 menunjukkan berkurangnya investasi yang dapat mempengaruhi efisiensi investasi di Indonesia. Selain itu, seringnya peningkatan nilai Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR) yang konsisten sejak tahun 2011 menunjukkan pemanfaatan investasi tidak dilakukan dengan efisien untuk merangsang pertumbuhan ekonomi. Ada beberapa faktor yang dapat berpengaruh pada efisiensi investasi diantaranya adalah kemampuan manajerial, penghindaran pajak, dan keberadaan direktur wanita. Adanya perbedaan hasil penelitian terdahulu dan minimnya penelitian terkait dengan model ini di Indonesia menarik untuk diteliti lebih lanjut. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini guna menguji pengaruh dari kemampuan manajerial, penghindaran pajak, dan keberadaan direktur wanita terhadap efisiensi investasi. Dalam pelaksanaannya, objek yang digunakan berupa perusahaan non keuangan yang tercatat di BEI dari tahun 2015 hingga 2020. Metode yang diterapkan yaitu regresi data panel dengan fixed effect model. Dari hasil regresi, peneliti menemukan 1) kemampuan manajerial berpengaruh pada inefisiensi investasi, 2) penghindaran pajak tidak berpengaruh pada inefisiensi investasi, dan 3) keberadaan direktur wanita berperan negatif pada inefisiensi investasi. Dari hasil temuan tersebut, dapat menjadi pertimbangan perusahaan dalam membuat keputusan dan kebijakan seperti pelaksanaan pemeriksaan, pengawasan, dan memberikan kesempatan pada wanita untuk menempati posisi strategis.

The significant decline in the value of gross fixed capital formation (PMTB) as an investment component of gross domestic product (GDP) from 2018 to 2020 indicates a decline in investment that may affect investment efficiency in Indonesia. In addition, the steady increase in the value of the incremental capital output ratio (ICOR) since 2011 shows that investments are not being used efficiently to stimulate economic growth. There are several factors that can affect investment efficiency, including managerial ability, tax avoidance and the existence of female directors. The differences in the results of previous studies and the lack of research on this model in Indonesia are interesting for further research. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of managerial ability, tax avoidance and the existence of female directors on investment efficiency. In practice, the object used is non-financial companies listed on the IDX from 2015 to 2020. The method used is panel data regression with a fixed effects model. Using the regression results, the researchers found that 1) managerial ability have an impact on investment inefficiency, 2) tax avoidance has no impact on investment inefficiency, and 3) the existence of female directors has a negative role on investment inefficiency. Based on these insights, companies can take this into account when making decisions and policies, such as conducting inspections, monitoring and providing opportunities for women to fill strategic positions.
