Abstract
PT Panasonic Gobel Life Solutions Manufacturing Indonesia saat ini sedang mengembangkan produk special lighting, salah satunya adalah Underwater LED Lighting Fishing. Penelitian studi pasar ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa bagaimana potensi pasar produk Underwater LED Lighting Fishing serta mengidentifikasi bagaimana preferensi kebutuhan nelayan terhadap Underwater LED Lighting Fishing. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode in-depth interview kepada 12 nelayan di Lamongan, Pasuruan, Malang dan Surabaya untuk mengetahui perilaku konsumen, preferensi konsumen serta daya beli konsumen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Underwater LED Lighting Fishing memiliki potensi yang baik pada industri perikanan di Jawa Timur karena persaingan produk tersebut tergolong atraktif atau tingkat persaingan industri tergolong rendah. Produk tersebut berpotensi pada kapal dengan ukuran diatas 10 Gross Tonnage (GT) dengan persebaran pada 13 dari 19 Kabupaten/Kota di Jawa Timur yang memiliki pelabuhan perikanan. Terkait preferensi kebutuhan nelayan terhadap Underwater LED Lighting Fishing, harga tidak menjadi masalah selama produk tersebut bermanfaat dan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas hasil tangkapan dan fitur yang diharapkan nelayan adalah cahaya lampu yang terang dan tentunya tahan lama serta produk tersebut telah teruji efektivitasnya.

PT Panasonic Gobel Life Solutions Manufacturing Indonesia is currently developing special lighting products, one of them is Underwater LED Lighting Fishing. This market research aims to analyze how the market potential of Underwater LED Lighting Fishing products and identify how the preferences of fishermen's needs for Underwater LED Lighting Fishing. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with 12 fishermen in Lamongan, Pasuruan, Malang and Surabaya to find out consumer behavior, consumer preferences and consumer purchasing power. The results of this study indicates that Underwater LED Lighting Fishing has good potential in East Java fishery industry because the product competition is classified as attractive, or the level of industry competition is low. The product has potential on vessels with sizes above 10 Gross Tonnage (GT) with distribution in 13 of the 19 regencies/cities in East Java that have fishing ports. Regarding the preference of fishermen's needs for Underwater LED Lighting Fishing, price is not a problem as long as the product is useful and can increase the productivity of the catch and the features expected by fishermen are bright lights and of course durable and the product has been tested for effectiveness.
