Abstract

Pada umumnya lansia mulai mengalami penurunan kondisi fisik sehingga
rentan terkena gangguan penyakit tertentu yang terjadi secara bersamaan sehingga
harus mengkonsumsi obat-obatan tertentu secara rutin sesuai dengan jadwal dan
dosis yang tepat. Namun masih terdapat beberapa lansia yang minum obat tidak
rutin karena mulai melemahnya kemampuan kognitif (daya ingat) sehingga perlu
dikembangkan sebuah penelitian tentang produk inovatif yang dilengkapi dengan
teknologi khusus untuk membantu lansia dalam mengingat jadwal minum obat.
Perancangan kotak obat pintar ini menggunakan metode Quality Function
Deployment yaitu mengidentifikasi keinginan dan kebutuhan 32 orang lansia
(voice of customer) saat minum obat melalui wawancara secara etnografis yang
kemudian diterjemahkan ke dalam parameter teknis pada perancangan produk.
Selanjutnya, prototype dibuat berdasarkan hasil rangking tertinggi nilai persentase
(%) pada House of Quality yaitu kotak obat dibuat otomatis sehingga obat dapat
keluar secara otomatis menggunakan mini servo, alarm untuk output informasi
dalam bentuk suara kepada lansia sebagai pengingat jadwal minum obat, RFID
(Radio Frequency Identification) yang dilengkapi dengan Proximity Integrated
Circuit Card sebagai akses para lansia untuk mengambil obat, Arduino Mega
2560 sebagai kontroler sistem secara keseluruhan, dan dispenser air minum
sebagai pelengkap tambahan saat minum obat.
Selanjutnya, produk kotak obat pintar yang telah dirancang langsung diuji
kepada 10 sampel lansia dan hasil evaluasi usability produk menunjukkan bahwa
produk ini memenuhi aspek learnability memiliki kemudahan dalam memahami
informasi suara sebagai penanda jadwal minum obat melalui alarm sebesar 90%,
dan memorability yaitu pemahaman terhadap tahapan-tahapan dalam
pengoperasian produk kotak obat pintar dengan mudah sebesar 80%.

Generally elderly person began to decline their physical conditions so that
susceptible to certain diseases disorders occurring simultaneously so that they
need to consume certain medicines routinely according to the time schedules and
proper dosages. However, there are some elderly person who take medicines are
not routine because it started weakening of cognitive ability so that we necessary
to develop a study on innovative product equipped with new technology to help
elderly person in remembering time schedule to take their medicines.
Design of smart pillbox using Quality Function Deployment methods that
is used to identify thirty two elderly person (based on voice of customer) while
they taking medicines through ethnographic interviews then translated into
technical parameters on product design. Furthermore, the prototype is made based
on the results of ranking the highest percentage (%) in the House of Quality such
as the medicines cabinet made automatically so that the medicine can pull out
automatically by using the mini servo, alarm used to output information in the
form of voices to the elderly people as schedule reminders to take medicine, RFID
(Radio frequency Identification) equipped with a Proximity Integrated Circuit
Card as the access of the elderly to take medicine, Arduino Mega 2560 as the
overall system controller, and water dispenser as additional supplementary time to
take medicines.
Furthermore, the result of smart medicine will tested to ten elderly person
and evaluated with usability metho. The product indicates that fulfill learnability
aspect such as easy to understand sound information as reminder of medication
schedule by 90% and memorability aspect such as understanding the steps of
using product easily by 80%.
