Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara dengan kekayaan melimpah dan warisan kuliner tradisional
yang sangat beragam. Pada zaman yang modern ini, makanan tradisional menjadi kurang umum
sebab banyak orang menganggap makanan tradisional sebagai hidangan kuno dan mulai beralih
pada gaya hidup kontemporer. Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan untuk melawan anggapan di atas
melalui game simulasi yang dirancang untuk mengajak pemain menjelajahi cara pembuatan
berbagai masakan tradisional Indonesia. Tujuan utama Tugas Akhir melibatkan pengembangan
desain mekanik game, implementasi game, dan pengukuran kepuasan pengguna. Game
simulasi yang dirancang menggabungkan mekanika dan narasi untuk mendidik pemain tentang
persiapan kuliner tradisional Indonesia. Dalam game simulasi, pemain dapat menggunakan
panduan untuk memasak dan memenuhi permintaan makanan penguji. Dengan cara ini,
diharapkan pemain dapat memahami pentingnya kuliner Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, game
diharapkan dapat menjadi upaya konkret dalam melestarikan dan memperkenalkan kuliner
tradisional Indonesia.

Indonesia is a country with abundant wealth and a highly diverse culinary heritage. In this
modern era, traditional foods have become less common as many people perceive them as
outdated, shifting towards contemporary lifestyles. This Final Project proposal aims to
challenge the assumption through a simulation game designed to invite players to explore
various methods to make Indonesian traditional cuisines. The main objectives of the Final
Project involve the development of game mechanics design, simulation implementation, and
user satisfaction measurement. The simulation will combine mechanics and narrative to educate
players about the preparation of Indonesian dishes. In the game, players can use guides to cook
and fulfill food requests from the examiner. This way, they will hopefully learn the significance
of Indonesian cuisine. Therefore, the game is expected to be a concrete effort in preserving and
introducing traditional Indonesian cuisine.
