Abstract

Stress is defined as a disturbance of the body and mind caused by several factors. In several studies, the potential consequences of stress include organizational impacts in the form of absenteeism, employee turnover, decreased loyalty to the organization, alienation from co-workers, job dissatisfaction, and low productivity. Many studies have examined the factors that cause worker stress. These factors are family, work, and others. However, these stressor models are studied separately and not analyzed comprehensively. This research was conducted to accommodate the above, where research on work stress was carried out by examining and confirming factors that had been studied previously. The factors studied are family conditions, psychosocial conditions, work and emotional intelligence. The research object focuses on female workers with the distribution of female workers in office and factory environments. This consideration was taken considering the relatively large number of female workers in Indonesia. The research results show that there are several differences between the research model and previous research models. In an office environment, family conditions do not significantly influence work stress conditions. Meanwhile, in a factory environment, it is known that emotional intelligence significantly influences work stress conditions
