Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of work attitudes on job satisfaction and intention to change jobs in the fashion modeling industry in Jakarta. The focus of this research is freelance models, who often face job uncertainty and lack of legal protection. This research uses quantitative methods with confirmatory factor analysis. Data was collected through a questionnaire survey involving 115 respondents using the Snowball Sampling method. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression and Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM PLS). The research results show that a positive work attitude has a significant effect on job satisfaction. High job satisfaction was also found to reduce the intention to change jobs. This research provides an in-depth understanding of the relationship between work attitudes, job satisfaction, and job turnover intentions in the context of the fashion modeling industry. These findings are important for human resource management in designing policies that can increase job satisfaction and employee retention, especially for freelance models who often face uncertainty in their careers. This research also highlights the importance of fair and transparent pay in the fashion modeling industry to increase job satisfaction and employee retention. By understanding their rights and having support from their organization, freelance models can feel more empowered to demand fair wages and enforce fair working conditions. The implications of this research can be used to improve working conditions and welfare of model women, as well as increase sustainability and professionalism in the fashion modeling industry in Jakarta.
